I went for my first Doctors appointment on Wednesday, I was very nervous for some reason. But everything went fine. I had to have 5 viles of blood drawn! The doctor tried to find your heart beat but it was nowhere to be found. It made me a little sad and kind of scared me even though before hand she had told me we might not be able to hear anything since it was so early. Hopefully next time we get to hear it!
Here is what is happening so far...
Baby:
- By now your head is proportionally larger than the rest of your body
- your ears and eyelids are starting to develope
- Your fingers and toes are developing from the arm and leg buds, which now have distinguished wrists and elbows that can flex
- your heart beat is around 150 beats per minute
Mommy:
- I have had very little morning sickness, unless I get the dreaded migraines, then it all goes down hill from there. I will be sick for days with migraines and throwing up. I can't eat anything! I need to find a way to get rid of those stupid migraines!
- So far I haven't had too many weird cravings. Lately the only things that sound good to me have been applesauce, steak, chips and salsa, and orange juice.
- I have been so Exhausted lately! No matter how much sleep I get I still feel extremely tired. I feel as if I could sleep all day! Unfortunately that's not an option since I have to work and go to school!
Your Grandma (my mom) and I decided that it would be fun to take progressive "Baby Bump" pics to see how much my belly grows.
Here are the pics at 8 weeks...
